Founded in 1989, Guangzhou Wan Hao Sound Material and Equipment Ltd. is one of the directors of the Council of China Theatrical Equipment Association. It has been devoted to design, and manufacture, including professional mixers, loudspeakers, power amplifiers, and karaoke systems in a streamlined process. It has develops its own brand “Vinal”, which expanded quickly in the Asia, and the worldwide markets.

Our company is always paying more emphasis on the quality control for our products. Early this year, we built one new Demonstration Auditorium (500sqm) for subjective listening and one standard anechoic chamber (200cbm) for objective testing. The two projects have made us to become the leading in professional audio field in China. So far, we are the only manufacturer in China who has one professional Demonstration Auditorium more than 500sqm. It will make our product design more professional and perfect for its quality and also its performance.

Wan Hao Demonstration Auditorium has a floor of 500 square meters. The whole auditorium is in a square shape but the audience area is in an arc shape due to the restriction of the location. There is no second floor or booth. There are audio evaluation booths next to the audience area. These booths are located at two levels. The audience area has a height of 8 meter maximum. In order to fit the audio evaluation of the stereo, the layout is designed according to the standard acoustics in a movie theater for a single acoustic waveguide. At 500 Hz, T60=1+0.1S. The allowed overshoot is under 25% at 125Hz. To assure the uniform acoustic field, the auditorium is made of 8 gradually changed sound expenders on both sidewalls. There are also mixed sound absorbers and expender arranged on both sidewalls. In order to prevent the acoustic waves focused on one spot, the arc-shaped back wall is designed to strongly absorb acoustic waves. There are mixed wood strips mixed on the absorbers on the back wall for decoration. These will not only make it look nice but also have the effect of filter.

The controlled absorption of low-frequency sound can be achieved by the resonance between the rear cavities of absorber surfaces on the sidewalls and the back wall, and plates located on the dado. On the two sides of the stage, the walls are decorated with straight wood strips with arc shape surfaces. This makes the front area look sharp and naturally presentable. This also enhances the effect of expansion. As to the speaker demonstrated in this auditorium, each speaker has a maximum power of 500W. If there is not enough room for accommodating the acoustic energy, the sound may be saturated and distorted. Therefore, there is a cage hanging on the roof with half of the body inserted into the roof in the front area of the audience area. The part of the cage, which is exposed to the view of audience, makes the volume of the front area bigger and also makes it easier for hanging the lights. It also makes it look rustic.
